Description
Pincher Creek has an exciting opportunity for a Unit Clerk or Administrative / Clerical casual / relief employee position. The Pincher Creek Health Care Centre has 16 acute care beds, two operating rooms, emergency room. As well the Centre includes home care services, diagnostic imaging, Radiology Associates, laboratory services, Allied Health services, acute and ambulatory care, and public health nursing. The Town of Pincher Creek is a well-established community located at the edge of southern Alberta. Nestled near the mountains, Castle Mountain is a short drive away and Waterton Lakes National Park is also just a quick jaunt for all outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy. With a variety of winter and summer activities and a diversity of amenities and tourist attractions, Pincher Creek embodies the benefits of balancing work with life. Of course, if you need some time in the city, Lethbridge is just an hour’s drive away and Great Falls, Montana is only four hours for a weekend of shopping in the states.
As a Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, patients and health professionals, maintaining patient records and charts, transcribing and processing physician orders as well as scheduling patient tests and/or treatments. You will also be responsible for performing a range of administrative activities in support of the unit.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.

One year experience as a Unit Clerk, Administrative or Clerical position in the past two years in a hospital clinical setting.
