Description
This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role within a newly structured Imaging Informatics team supporting both Diagnostic Imaging and enterprise patient content systems. We are hiring the second of two Team Leads who will each guide a specialized team: one focused on Diagnostic Imaging Informatics (PACS, archive, and image distribution) and one focused on Patient Content Management (enterprise imaging systems outside of DI). In these roles, you will work closely with clinical, operational, and technical partners to ensure imaging and patient content are reliable, accessible, and integrated across the care continuum. You will help shape team direction, establish standards, and support the organization’s transition from a radiology-centric model to enterprise imaging at scale, directly impacting patient care and clinical efficiency.
The Team Lead roles provide operational and technical leadership for either Diagnostic Imaging Informatics or Patient Content Management systems. Each Team Lead is responsible for coordinating team activities, prioritizing work, and ensuring the stability and optimization of critical imaging platforms. The Diagnostic Imaging Informatics lead will focus on PACS, long-term image archives, and image distribution to systems such as Alberta Netcare and Connect Care. The Patient Content Management lead will focus on enterprise systems such as Quest Quanum ECS, Philips ISCV, and endoscopy repositories. Both roles work closely with stakeholders to align technology with clinical workflows, support initiatives, and drive standardization and continuous improvement. These positions are critical to ensuring imaging systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with organizational priorities.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Health Informatics, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience supporting healthcare IT or clinical systems. Demonstrated experience coordinating or leading work within a team environment. Experience supporting complex, integrated systems in a healthcare setting. Strong understanding of clinical workflows (Diagnostic Imaging or other clinical domains). Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to mentor, support, and guide team members.
Experience with imaging or clinical content systems such as PACS/VNA (e.g., AGFA Enterprise Imaging), Quest Quanum ECS, or Philips ISCV.
Strong knowledge of DICOM and HL7 integrations, and familiarity with systems such as Netcare or Connect Care is an asset. Experience supporting high-availability clinical systems and contributing to workflow optimization or system standardization is preferred. PMP certification.
