Description
Reporting to the area manager and the clinical supervisor the Social Worker II will be a member of an inter-disciplinary team and provide a range of social work services to patients and their families. Referrals are received from addictions counsellors and mental health therapists for active clients on their caseload who require social work support. This position is located out of Bonnyville, however, will support clients in Cold Lake and St. Paul as well. Your services may include psychosocial assessment, resource-based interventions, risk screening, counselling, case management and coordination, transition planning, and prevention, promotion and public awareness activities. The position works with children and adults, community agencies, other members of the mental health and addictions team as well as the multidisciplinary team at large. With a population of over 6000, the town of Bonnyville is located approximately 2.5 hours northeast of Edmonton. The Bonnyville area is well known for its oil and gas industry. As a Social Worker II, you will be a member of an inter-disciplinary team and provides a range of social work services to patients and their families. Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
