Description
We are seeking an exceptional Site Manager to lead operations at both the Marshall Eliuk Peace River Community Health Centre and the Grimshaw/Berwyn and District Community Health Centre in Northern Alberta, a region that truly offers the best of both worlds: professional fulfillment and an incredible lifestyle. Imagine living in a place where breathtaking scenery surrounds you, where the Peace River Valley stretches out in stunning beauty, and where every season brings new opportunities for adventure. From hiking and fishing in the summer to skiing and snowshoeing in the winter, this area is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Add to that a warm, welcoming community with a strong sense of belonging, and you’ve found an ideal setting to live, work, and thrive. In this pivotal leadership role, you won’t just manage, you’ll make a lasting impact. You’ll be the driving force behind critical decisions, fostering collaboration among staff and stakeholders, and championing innovative solutions that elevate patient care and support your team. We’re looking for a confident, self-driven, and charismatic leader who thrives on thinking outside the box and turning challenges into opportunities. If you’re passionate about making a meaningful difference and want a career where your voice matters, your ideas are valued, and your impact is felt every single day, this is your chance. Along with the satisfaction of shaping healthcare in a vibrant community, you’ll enjoy a competitive rate of pay and eligibility for the Northern Living Allowance, making this not just a rewarding career move, but a lifestyle upgrade. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
Reporting directly to the Area Director, you will provide leadership coverage for both the Marshall Eliuk Peace River Community Health Centre and the Grimshaw/Berwyn and District Community Health Centre. As Site Manager, you will be the operational backbone of these facilities, ensuring that every department runs smoothly and efficiently. You will oversee and support key clinical areas, including the Inpatient Medical-Surgical Unit, Maternity, Emergency Department, and Operating Room, making sure resources are optimized so both sites operate at their highest potential. Your responsibilities will go beyond day-to-day oversight-you’ll be the go-to leader for problem-solving and decision-making. You will work closely with Unit Manager and other leaders to coordinate care, resolve issues quickly, and maintain seamless workflows. Acting as a trusted resource for frontline staff, you’ll escalate patient care concerns when necessary and lead efforts to find effective solutions. In addition, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of these sites by driving change management initiatives, promoting team development, and fostering collaboration across departments. From coordinating staffing and clinical workflows to ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, your leadership will directly impact patient outcomes and staff satisfaction. This is a role where strategic thinking meets hands-on leadership-perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment.
