Senior Financial Analyst

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Manages various sources of information and large data sets. Proficiency in compiling data, ensuring quality of data for financial reports/statements. Designs and prepares various monthly, quarterly reports and analysis such as compliance and monitoring, productivity and project reporting for various internal audiences to support business (any ad hoc reporting as required). Coordinates and/or leads month end and year-end financial activities & the implementation of process improvements. Investigates and facilitates effective resolution of concerns regarding complex financial information for senior management. Designs and builds Ad Hoc reporting & Miscellaneous project/tasks as they arise. Supports internal/external audits requests through research, reporting and liaison with related parties. Serve as the primary functional expert for Oracle EBS Accounts Payable and related financial modules. Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate fixes with IT or external vendors. Support testing cycles (UAT, Go live) for patches, upgrades, and new functionality. (This includes preparing testing scripts and performing the scripts). Coaches and mentors AP staff (ASV & other entry level positions) on Oracle functionality, best practices, and new features.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will coordinate and/or prepare complex financial and statistical analysis and reports, along with providing interpretation of analyses and reports to support business and external requirements. Your work will be focused on budgets, forecasting, recommendations for program and/or cost efficiencies and development or enhancements to processes and controls. In addition, you will coordinate and monitor progress of financial projects, as well as coach and guide other department staff such as Financial Analysts.

Post secondary degree specializing in accounting or related field (e.g. economics, statistics).

Microsoft Access & Excel (advanced knowledge such as database design and architecture, advanced queries, design interactive forms, integration of Access with Excel, using macros). Experience with Accounts Payable functions, Financial Analysis, data manipulation.

Strong hands-on experience with Oracle E Business Suite (R12 preferred), especially AP and Procurement modules. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
