If so, we invite you to consider joining our Continuing Care Funding (CCF) team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in the planning and allocation of multimillion-dollar funding for continuing care services across the province. Working within the Strategic Finance and Health Economics portfolio, the CCF team is responsible for developing funding methodologies, conducting financial analytics, and supporting data-driven decision-making for Continuing Care Programs. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of strategic funding models that support the delivery of quality healthcare services in Alberta. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government partners and continuing care providers. Conduct complex financial and economic analyses, including regression modeling and sensitivity analysis, to support policy and funding decisions. Prepare briefing notes and other communications for senior leadership and executive review. Extract, manage, and analyze large financial and utilization datasets to inform funding models and program planning. Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to support population health analysis, forecast modeling, and patient acuity tracking. Complete targeted analyses based on emerging data needs and ad-hoc requests.
As Required.
A post-secondary degree with a strong quantitative focus (e.g., Finance, Business, Economics). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong skills across the Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret and work with large, complex financial datasets. Demonstrated experience with databases and financial/statistical analysis. Proven ability to operate effectively within a large, complex organizational environment.

Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to varied audiences. Demonstrated ability to identify and communicate key insights from data analysis to support decision-making. Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
