Collaborate with stakeholders across the province to develop and evaluate programs, facilitate discussions on organizational design, and implement contemporary strategies for optimizing care delivering and supporting the frontline workforce. Through collaboration and consultation with in internal and external stakeholders this position is responsible for the key areas of: Facilitating the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives related to service improvement (including Continuing Care Health Services Standards - CCHSS), patient safety (including reportable incidents) and Accreditation. Coordination and oversight of knowledge translation/implementation (including education) related. Zone-level and site-level quality improvement projects (including CCHSS related education). Influencing culture change through continual representation of the quality management body of knowledge in all interactions inclusive of zone leadership and front-line teams. Influencing change management approaches in development and implementation of programs and improvement initiatives. Supporting Quality Monitoring within the context of COVID-19 Outbreaks which includes proactive site monitoring and support as well as active Outbreak quality monitoring and support. This role is responsible for working with stakeholders inclusive of leadership and front-line teams to support integration of quality improvement activities to promote effective, efficient use of resources across the spectrum of continuing care. This position is integral in ensuring alignment of local quality initiatives with the Assisted Living Alberta Business Support and Quality continuing care quality strategic direction and plan.
5-10 years' experience in related health discipline with progressive leadership responsibilities. Quality Improvement training (for example Lean, Six Sigma, AIW). Bachelor’s Degree in related field. Exceptional Applicants without a bachelor's degree may be considered; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
5-7 years in continuing care environment with broad knowledge of the continuing care system Experience facilitating improvement activities/initiatives and knowledge or ability to scale/ spread Proficiency in Microsoft office - excel, power point, word, outlook. Ability to work with limited supervision and a high degree of independence Strong/exceptional communication skills both verbal and written. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple competing demands. Experience in educational plan development and delivery of content, working with adult learners Leadership skills including demonstrated comfort with decision making and collaboration to inspire and influence change.
Master’s Degree in clinical, business, or health administration. Project Management Certification. Data analytics skillset in data interpretation and evaluation PROSCI change advisor. Awareness/training in RAI-HC and/or RAI-MDS 2.0. Clinical experience in Home and Community Care, Supportive Living and/or Continuing Care Home settings.
