Description
Reporting to the Site Executive Director, RAH Site Administration, and supervised by the Senior Consultant RAH Patient and Provider Experience Office (PPEO), the Project Manager provides leadership in the strategic design, implementation and evaluation of health service projects and initiatives for the RAH PPEO and related RAH Site programs and portfolios. The Project Manager has accountability to provide multifaceted support to the to the PPEO, RAH Site Clinical and Operational Programming with aligned involvement in program, site, zone, sector and provincial work.
Project Management (scoping, planning, implementation, and evaluation) for multiple patient and provider experience initiatives, projects, teams and services across the RAH campus. Supporting strategic, operational and patient & provider experience planning for multiple initiatives, projects, teams and services across the RAH campus, including analysis; identification of goals, objectives, strategies, tactics, and performance targets; implementation, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation. Support and maintenance of ongoing accreditation cycles across complex matrix of programs and sites. Drive and lead patient and provider experience contribution with new and existing RAH programming that aligns with the Edmonton Zone and Provincial portfolios (i.e. Engagement and Patient Experience portfolio; Patient Family Centered Care). Supporting risk management and quality and safety activities (RAH People Safety Culture, accreditation, program budgeting and monitoring). Supporting the Site Executive Director and Sr. Consultant PPEO to meet operational needs of program and support operational and clinical programming across the campus. Apply service design, change management and process improvement principles to projects/initiatives and uses various tools and models for project/ initiative management. Lead and facilitate engagement of with multiple internal and external stakeholders in the program, site, zone, sector and province including clinical staff, physician leaders, site management, and senior and executive leaders to develop efficient and effective health service projects/initiatives that are investigated, scoped and progressively designed in alignment with organization and site goals and objectives.
Baccalaureate Degree in a Business, Administration, or Health related field. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Business, Administration, or Health related role. Minimum 3-year experience in a leadership role, leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to motivate, inspire and build confidence in others to achieve common goals.

Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in areas of strategic planning, project management, utilization management, quality improvement, data analysis and information management, and program development and evaluation. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Demonstrated ability to manage change. Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment. Excellent analytical and evidence-based decision-making skills. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships and partnerships with public agencies, government, committees and other partners.
An advanced Degree in Business, Administration, or Health related field, Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
