Reporting to the Director, Business Advisory Services, Data & Digital Health/People & Health Professions, this Program Manager position is a leadership role within the Business Advisory Services department in Finance, Health Shared Services (HSS). This position is specifically to support the IT Projects and People & Health Professions portfolio needs. This role oversees budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, costing of new initiatives, and identification of savings opportunities while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This role is also accountable for leading, coaching, and mentoring Senior Financial Analysts and Financial Analysts.

The Business Advisory Services (BAS) Department in Finance is focused on providing value driven solutions founded on service excellence. BAS is committed to providing sound financial advice in all financial matters to Health Shared Services (HSS) Senior Leaders and Managers. Under the general direction of the Director, Business Advisory Services, Data & Digital Health/People & Health Professions, this position is responsible for a variety of customer support duties as a member of the Business Advisory Services team. This position is specifically to support the IT Projects and People & Health Professions portfolio needs. This role oversees budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, costing of new initiatives, and identification of savings opportunities while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. The position also requires knowledge of OPC and will involve working with Project Managers to help facilitate the financial needs of various IT Capital Projects. The Manager delivers monthly and quarterly financial reporting to internal stakeholders and ensures compliance with internal and external requirements. This role is accountable for leading, coaching, and mentoring Senior Financial Analysts and Financial Analysts.

Completion of post-secondary diploma or higher specializing in accounting or related field (e.g. Finance, Economics, Statistics).

Completion of a professional accounting/ finance designation or MBA. Intermediate MS Excel skills. Minimum of seven (7) years of accounting or financial experience. Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Ability to think and act strategically, creatively and systematically. Ability to plan and allocate resources to efficiently and effectively accomplish the work to meet departmental productivity and quality goals. Experience providing financial advice to leadership positions. Experience in leadership, project management, management or supervisory roles. Ability to meet defined deadlines. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of the team. Ability to work in a changing environment and manage projects with limited information Strong leadership skills including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching with an ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, customer focused orientation and commitment to provide a quality service.

Chartered Professional Accountant designation. Financial experience in a Health Care environment. Working knowledge of Oracle & Hyperion applications including OPC.
