Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join the Urology Section primarily based at Rockyview General Hospital (RGH). This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative, high-functioning surgical team and contribute meaningfully to patient care across the continuum. The Section of Urology is based at the Rockyview General Hospital at the Southern Alberta Institute of Urology (SAIU). Our team includes 14 adult urologists who serve patients at all acute-care sites in Calgary. They provide care to individuals with a variety of urological conditions. SAIU is the largest and most comprehensive urological center in Canada. The PA will work under the supervision of designated Urologists and function as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team. This role offers the opportunity to practice at full scope, including clinical care, perioperative management, and surgical assisting. The Physician Assistant will: Provide comprehensive patient care in clinic, inpatient, emergency department and perioperative settings Perform detailed assessments, develop differential diagnoses, and initiate management plans Order and interpret diagnostic tests Assist in urologic surgical procedures in the operating room Support pre-operative and post-operative patient care Participate in patient education and counseling Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals Contribute to continuity of care across outpatient and inpatient services Schedule & Call Flexible scheduling aligned with division needs (days/evenings/weekends) Participation in on-call coverage Emergency coverage with flexible shift structure Hours structured to support both service demands and work-life balance

Graduate from a recognized Physician Assistant Education Program, or graduating in 2026 Certified as a Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) by PACCC or PA-C by the NCCPA (U.S.). Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA). Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) Surgical assisting experience preferred Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid Canadian work permit. Current independent liability insurance. Current certification in CPR (HCP level). ACLS is preferred.
