Are you ready to make a real impact in healthcare? We’re hiring 5 Pharmacy Assistants to support our Central Production Pharmacy operations. Under the guidance of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, you will play a key role in preparing medications and supporting pharmacy operations to ensure patients receive safe, timely care. This position may require occasional travel between sites. As the successful candidate, you will be familiar with pharmacy office equipment, utilize your strong verbal and written communications skills, be detailed orientated with great organizational and problem-solving skills. You will also have the ability to lift (up to 30 lbs. regularly, 50 lbs. occasionally), bend, and stand/sit for extended periods during your shift. In this role you will have the opportunity to package, label, and transport medications between departments, manage wardstock - fill, order, and receive inventory per guidelines, assist with non-sterile prep for sterile products, monitor inventory and remove expired products, handle clerical tasks like processing reports, charging/crediting medications, and filing. Additional duties include supporting unit-based tasks like labeling and communicating with care teams, keeping equipment clean and maintained, and participating in quality assurance activities. You’ll also help train new team members and pharmacy students while maintaining internal certifications and performance standards.

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will be responsible for the packaging, distributing, shipping medications and the management and replenishment of medication inventory levels under the general supervision of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Graduate of recognized pharmacy assistant program and/or 1-year recent (within the last year) retail or hospital pharmacy experience.

Connect care experience is preferred. Knowledge of automated pharmaceutical packaging machines.
