You will apply advanced clinical knowledge to support care across multiple specialties, while contributing to the development of care frameworks and strategies that improve patient outcomes and quality of life. As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems. Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program, with a minimum of a Master's degree. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar, including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Minimum of 3 years of adult acute clinical experience as a Registered Nurse. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development. Strong communication, organizational, and systems-thinking skills. Proven critical thinking abilities and capacity to work independently and collaboratively. Demonstrated leadership, time management, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to build effective working relationships across the continuum of care.

NP experience in adult care, including chronic disease management, oncology, or internal medicine. Experience in ambulatory care or multidisciplinary team environments. Completion of relevant certifications or coursework in specialty areas. Familiarity with Alberta’s electronic health systems, including Connect Care and Netcare.
