As an MRT Technologist II, you will create and document high-quality images for interpretation by Radiologists. Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, reviewing histories, explaining procedures, addressing patient needs during scans, and maintaining equipment. As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) II, you will perform specialized technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You may perform specialized diagnostic imaging procedures for Physician/Radiologist review, interpret physician requisitions and assist with the care and maintenance of imaging equipment.
Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Mammography Certification. Computed Tomography Certification. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $12,480. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
