Description
A unique opportunity for 2025 MRT Graduates. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position including working shift work - days, evening, nights and on-call as scheduled. Participate in Diagnostic Imaging Quality program. Organized, independent worker and a strong team player who is committed to providing quality patient care. The ability to foster an environment of cooperation, networking and collaboration. Communication and interpersonal skills to enable you to deal courteously and tactfully with team members and other Alberta Health Services Staff. Proficient in scanning CT heads.
As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) I, you will perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You will interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination and produce high quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review, and assist with the care and maintenance of equipment. Your work may include a variety of procedures such as general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, as well as fluoroscopy where required.
Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
This Medical Radiation Technologist I (MRT I) position performs quality general radiology, fluoroscopy, CT heads, OR and portable examinations in the busy and dynamic Diagnostic Imaging Department at Chinook Regional Hospital. Close collaboration with technical staff, nursing, patients, physicians, supervisor and management is required.
