Description
You’re an experienced senior's healthcare provider, who has excellent problem-solving, organization, and interpersonal skills. Alberta Health Services (AHS) is currently seeking someone like you who can provide direction, team leadership, and organization to the interdisciplinary team of the Del Air Lodge Aurora Place, Type B facility, as Supervisor in the lovely northern town of Manning. As Supervisor you will make front-line decisions, and serve as the main contact person for staff, physicians, residents, and family members. You will work with the Manning senior's health team to meet Continuing Care accountabilities and provide safe, efficient, patient and family-centered care in alignment with AHS’s vision, mission, and business plan. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. As the Care Manager, you will be responsible for providing effective leadership and strategic direction to an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals in the Designated Supportive Living, Home Care and Long Term Care departments in the delivery of safe and high-quality patient and family-centered care services. You will be making key decisions, providing clinical guidance and support as well as coordinating staffing, oversee meeting Continuing Care accountabilities, in alignment with AHS vision, mission, and business plan. Moreover, you will be responsible for facilitating improvement initiatives, fostering and maintaining dynamic and engaging teamwork and collaborative relationship with key stakeholders.
Active registration with applicable Alberta Regulated Health Profession. Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in clinical practice required and within the last three (3) in a leadership role. Previous experience in Continuing Care required. Equivalences of education and experience may be considered.
Proven clinical and leadership skills. Superior organizational skills. Evidence of strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. Evidence of initiative, flexibility, and creativity. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, physicians, community agencies, professional colleagues, volunteers, and the community. Evidence of strong commitment to excellence in patient care and Continuing Care accountabilities. Ability to function effectively in a dynamic work environment.
Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice will be considered. Previous management experience preferred.
