As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a key role in delivering safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will work closely with Registered Nurses, Health Care Aides, physicians, and allied health professionals to support patients with complex and evolving health needs. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

The successful candidate will possess minimum: Recent acute care Medical/surgical experience. Basic computer skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Proven competence in relevant technical nursing skills. Demonstrated responsibility to maintaining own continuing competence and willingness to learn new skills through Professional Development activities. Ability to work shifts and meet the physical requirement of the job.
