We are looking to add a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to Unit 39 Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting youth and their families through their mental health admission as a member of our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily care of our patients, liaising with families and medical team as an active member of the overall treatment team. The successful candidate will have strong assessment skills, ability to use critical thinking, flexibility, the willingness to work in a fast-paced and acute environment. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
