Mackenzie Place offers private, personal living space and personal care for adults and seniors in a DSL4 Assisted Living setting. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and Health Care Aides are on-site 24 hours a day to provide support, personal care and medication assistance. Mackenzie Place practices a philosophy of person-centered care by accommodating the unique needs, preferences and strengths of individuals in ways that promote independence, self-esteem and quality of life. Residents will have an assigned Home Care Case Manager (RN) to coordinate service. Services may include Personal Care, Meals, Linen and Laundry Services, Recreation programming, 24-hour safety and Emergency Response Services. The Mackenzie Place Team is looking for skilled LPN Professionals. If a patient centered environment with opportunity to work directly with residents appeals to you, this may be the position for you. LPNs at Mackenzie Place work to full scope and lead a Health Care Aide team to provide high quality care to our residents. May involve floating to any unit in Mackenzie Place in critical circumstances only. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
