Description
At the Stollery Children’s Hospital, within Acute Care Alberta, you will be part of a team dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families through compassionate, innovative, and patient family-centered care. This role offers meaningful collaboration, variety, and the opportunity to support programs that make a tangible difference in patient and family experiences. The Lead Coordinator plays a key role in supporting family centered care at the Stollery Children’s Hospital by coordinating projects, events, communications, and collaborative initiatives across Child Life, Awasisak, and Patient & Family Centered Care (PFCC). Working closely with the Manager, this role is the primary point of contact for Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation requests and supports high quality delivery of donor engagement, programming, and communications. The successful candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
As the Lead Coordinator, you will oversee the coordination of Foundation related events and requests, support internal programming, and manage communications and project activities across the Child Life, Awasisak and PFCC portfolio. You will collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams, AHS Communications, IT partners, and external stakeholders to ensure initiatives are delivered efficiently, professionally, and in alignment with AHS standards and family centered values.
Diploma or degree in Administration, Project Management, Communications, Health Services, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in coordination, project support, communications, or healthcare environments. Demonstrated experience coordinating events, managing multiple priorities, and working with diverse stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
As Required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital communication tools; experience with signage or content management systems is an asset. Knowledge of and commitment to patient and family centered care, cultural safety, and equity informed practice. Familiarity and experience working within pediatric acute care setting.
