Elk Point is situated on beautiful lands within Treaty Six, traditional territory of many Indigenous and Metis people. Elk Point is in the County of St Paul, in east-central Alberta, with a population of approximately 1,500. As the Integrated Care Manager - Home Care and Long-Term Care, you will be responsible for providing leadership to an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing leading care to Albertans. Your leadership, direction and organization of Elk Point Home Care and Elk Point Long Term Care will be in support of the vision, mission and business plan of AHS. As the Integrated Care Manager, you will be making key decisions and establishing and contributing to the achievements and goals of the Seniors Health portfolio. As the Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating change management, promoting team development, teamwork and coordinating staffing and clinical work as identified by the Area Manager. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining an effective framework for the operations of patient care services to facilitate the delivery of efficient, effective and safe patient care. You will be implementing and monitoring your portfolio's budget while undertaking risk management, quality assurance and utilization of information in this field. As the successful candidate, you will have experience successfully communicating with different stakeholders and demonstrate a client-centered approach. We are also looking for someone who can develop creative approaches to client and resident care and who demonstrates sound critical thinking and ethical decision making.

Completion of an accredited nursing education program with preference towards bachelor’s degree in nursing. 3 - 5 years in a health care provider role and a minimum of one year working in a leadership capacity. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Experience in Home Care and/or Long-Term Care.

Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within the team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire other to achieve common goals. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within an organization and ideally managing within a unionized sector. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage short term and long-term plans and projects and deliver customer focused results.

A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Diploma in Nursing with three (3) years recent experience in Home Care or Long-Term Care may be considered. Please attach a resume with your application.
