The Information Technology - Critical Care & Data Quality Team is currently looking for a Clinical Informatician (CI) to join their team. This position works to develop, plan and execute strategies for the assessment and maintenance of data quality for information from Critical Care documentation in the form of chart audits. Data quality is assessed in reference to defined standards and deficiencies are identified. Data remediation strategies are undertaken with clinical users across multiple disciplines (including nurses, respiratory therapists and physicians) to correct the specific data. Data quality trends are developed and monitored for the provision of summary feedback to clinical users and operational leaders for Critical Care units and departments. This position is responsible for: The development and refinement of data quality assessment and measurement policies and procedures. The creation and delivery of summary feedback to clinical users across disciplines including operational leaders of intensive care units and departments related to data quality. Working with clinical users, educators and leaders to develop strategies for improvement of data quality. Collaborating with the Connect Care Critical Care Build Team to develop and optimize data quality. Providing input to the broader Critical Care operational team on data quality issues and potential design alterations to improve future data quality.

As a Clinical Informatician, you will lead or participate in the customization, development, implementation, management, evaluation, and continuous improvement of clinical information systems. You will develop and deploy information and systems solutions, drawing on expert clinical experience, and knowledge from their health discipline. Working in the field of Clinical Health Informatics will require you to incorporate the application of information technology to facilitate the creation and use of health related data, informatics aspects of safe, efficient, and effective health services for all Canadians.

Completion of bachelor's degree in a health related field. Active registration with the applicable professional association or college.

Customer facing experience bridging business, IT, clinical, and clinical support services, across the breadth and depth of a large healthcare organization. Experience with a Clinical Information System such as MetaVision or Connect Care. Current proficiency or certification in Epic Application(s) (EpicCare Inpatient Clinical Documentation preferred).

Minimum 3 years in health informatics. Adult Education Experience or Training.
