Description
The Administrative Support V provides comprehensive administrative support to the Respiratory Therapy Department at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. Working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment, the successful candidate supports workforce scheduling, payroll and attendance processes, human resources activities, patient scheduling and registration, meeting coordination, records management, reporting, and departmental communications. The position also provides administrative support to leadership and clinical staff, supports departmental financial processes including budget tracking, invoicing, expense reconciliation and chargeback reporting, maintains confidential information, and contributes to the efficient delivery of departmental services. Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skills are essential.
As an Administrative Support V, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Completion of post-secondary education in Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Previous experience with complex workforce scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll processes utilizing Workforce Management (WFM) is required. Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and eManager is required. Experience using SharePoint for document management, collaboration, and records maintenance is required. Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands, maintain accuracy, handle confidential and sensitive information, and work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in a complex 24/7 unionized healthcare environment. Experience with Connect Care in an ambulatory setting, Workforce Management (WFM), payroll administration and human resource processes. Experience preparing reports, managing confidential information, and supporting financial and operational processes is considered an asset.
