Description
The Tertiary Child & Adolescent Mental Health Program with Recovery Alberta has an opportunity for a detail-oriented, self-motivated and experienced multitasker to join our team. As the Administrative V, you will fill a key role supporting the Program Manager, Unit/Care Managers at the Royal Alexandra Hospital and the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, as well as the Clinical Nurse Educator. The incumbent will perform a variety of administrative functions including calendar management, meeting organization, preparing and editing correspondence, reports, presentations and other documents, minute taking, supporting recruitment processes, purchasing, and assisting with other clerical tasks that are required to support the program. Along with these administrative tasks, the successful candidate will assist in planning and organizing special / education events (e.g. booking venues, organizing logistics). A high standard of critical thinking, problem solving, and strong organizational skills are required along with the ability to manage various competing demands with tight deadlines, working independently with minimal supervision. Creativity, flexibility, initiative and attention to detail are important elements for success. The position displays leadership within own peer group. The position requires the ability to be collaborative, maintain a positive, respectful and professional demeanor. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. As an Administrative Support V, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Secretarial or Office Administration certification/diploma required. Must have three to four years of administrative/secretarial experience, preferably within a healthcare setting. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Must have advanced/intermediate knowledge of computer technology and applications including but not limited to RMS, Internet/Intranet, Connect Care, Tableau, ESP, finance applications such as Oracle, e-Facilities, IT/HR Service Hub, and as well as all Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Teams).
Experience in advanced administrative or specialized skills to support initiatives within our program. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and/or Captivate programs.
