Description
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this position is responsible for providing administrative support to our UAH Outpatient Residence Front Reception and FM&E Office. Primary focus will be operational support to the front reception by completing registration and discharge of patients, collecting payments, while responding to requests over the phone, e-mail, and in person. The successful candidate will apply problem solving skills to perform a variety of patient-staff interactions while ensuring the upkeep, safety, and cleanliness of our hotel style rooms by compiling daily housekeeping reports, reporting safety concerns, and entering maintenance requests into e-facilities.
As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Some post-secondary education.
Post-secondary education required (e.g. courses in office, business administration, and/or Facilities Maintenance). Minimum 3-5 years' experience working in an office environment including payroll and hospital experience, word processing, spreadsheets and graphics is necessary.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in health care environment with an understanding in Facilities terminology. Experience in building maintenance preferably in a hospital setting. Knowledge of WHMIS Guidelines, and First Aid. Membership in a professional organization related to administrative support in maintenance and healthcare would be considered an asset.
