Description

Reporting to the Manger of the Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool, the Staffing Liaison provides vital scheduling support to PICU, PCICU, NICU and the pediatric RT department at the Stollery UAH site. The Staffing Liaison uses the Infor WFM staff scheduling application proficiently and works within established staff scheduling processes to complete staff scheduling tasks, often within short timelines. Attention to detail will be crucial as you ensure that employees are scheduled appropriately in accordance with AHS policies, procedures and collective agreement provisions to meet critical patient care needs. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and an ability to adapt to shifting priorities and frequent interruptions are essential. Key responsibilities will include staff schedule adjustments including ad hoc and vacation planner entries, illness and education leave, anticipating staffing needs and informing managers of shifts that require further attention, reconciling unit consoles and providing scheduling reports as requested.
As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Some post-secondary education.
Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel required. Minimum 1 year customer service experience. Must have already completed the Infor WFM Staffing Liaison or Scheduler training course and have a minimum of 1 year current experience working in a staffing liaison role. Knowledge of Stollery Critical Care Program and associated specialty teams required.
Unit Clerk training or administrative experience preferred. Experience working in a unionized, health care environment.
