The South Health Campus (SHC) operates under four key pillars of service: Collaborative Practice, Wellness, Patient and Family Centered Care, and Innovation. These pillars guide the delivery of care to patients and families at SHC. The Ambulatory Neuroscience Clinics at SHC include General Neurology, Neurovestibular, ALS, Epilepsy, Cognitive Clinic, Stroke Prevention, Neuromuscular, MS, Neuroimmunology, Movement Disorders, Functional Movement Disorder, the Calgary Headache Assessment and Management Program (CHAMP) and Calgary Zone Neurology Central Access and Triage. The Casual Ambulatory Neurosciences Clerk IV is an integral member of the interdisciplinary team and provides advanced clerical support across multiple SHC neurology subspecialty clinics, including working at main reception desks for patient check-in. In this casual capacity, the Clerk IV may be assigned to work wherever coverage is required, supporting clinic operations across the department. Key responsibilities include: Managing high volumes of patient and provider Connect Care messages, phone calls, and other communications. Scheduling and coordinating complex appointments, tests, and procedures within a multidisciplinary team. Maintaining accurate documentation in Connect Care Liaising with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure timely access to care. Supporting providers with administrative tasks such as forms, referrals, and correspondence. Ensuring smooth clinic flow and efficient use of resources in varied clinic settings This position requires: The ability to work independently and adapt quickly to different clinic environments and workflows. Strong judgment, attention to detail, and professionalism in a fast-paced, team-based environment. Advanced knowledge of Connect Care Ambulatory and Netcare. Effective communication skills, written and verbal.

As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Some post-secondary education.

Completion of post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Office or Business Administration, Medical Office Assistant, Computer Science). Minimum of 1 year customer service experience. At least 1 year of Connect Care Ambulatory scheduling experience within the past 2 years, including scheduling providers and resources. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Ambulatory setting within the past 3 years. Proficient in Connect Care, including the Ambulatory module, and Netcare, with regular use in the past year. Experienced with room scheduling within a multidisciplinary department. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint (within the past year). Strong computer skills with the ability to manage complex scheduling requirements. Physically able to meet the demands of the position, including sitting, walking, standing, lifting, pushing, and pulling for extended periods. Able to maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and focus despite frequent interruptions. Proven ability to coordinate complex provider and clinic schedules within a team-based environment. Strong critical thinking, time management, prioritization, and organizational skills in a fast-paced clinical setting. Effective interpersonal and communication skills across multiple platforms (verbal, written, telephone, and electronic).

Emotionally resilient and able to support patients with chronic illness. Flexible and adaptable when switching between clinics and tasks.
