We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Administrative Support to join our Emergency Medical Services (EMS) team, based out of North Zone EMS Headquarters in Grande Prairie. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the critical operations of EMS in an administerial capacity. The role provides administrative support to a team of EMS leaders, while supporting day-to-day administration duties to ensure seamless and efficient administrative operations across the North Zone. The Administrative Support IV is an integral part of the North Zone EMS office team. Under the direction of the Administrative Coordinator, you will ensure consistent application of administrative policies, procedures, and standards within the office. This position works closely with other management, clerical and clinical staff as well as outside stakeholders. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Key Responsibilities include: Document Preparation: Creating and editing documents, reports, presentations, agendas and recording meeting minutes. Communication: Acting as a point of contact for phone calls, emails, and visitors. Data Management: Creating spreadsheets and maintaining data. Office Management: Maintaining office supplies, managing schedules and calendars, and organizing files. Customer Service: Assisting clients and members of the public with inquiries and requests. Special Projects: Assisting with special projects and tasks as needed. Minimum Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary certificate in office administration related studies (Business Administration, Medical office Assistant, Office Administration). Equivalent job experience as per management discretion. Proven experience in administrative roles. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Minimum two years of recent administrative experience. Other post-secondary education may also be considered.
