Description
This position reports to Workforce Planning, Edmonton Zone EMS Operations. The successful incumbent is responsible for coordination of various office duties including day to day correspondence with stakeholders, employee scheduling (Workforce Telestaff), payroll entry (E-People), compiling data/reports, and supporting EMS Operations. The employee may work a variety of hours and rotations. This position ensures that employees are scheduled appropriately and employee pay data is captured in accordance with established policies and procedures, and collective agreement provisions. Other responsibilities include successfully completing projects under defined timelines, providing staff service, resolving payroll concerns or discrepancies, and responding to WCB/WHS/HR inquiries. The position requires extensive knowledge of scheduling systems, payroll entry, a unionized workforce and EMS operations. This is a technology driven position, job duties are carried out on a computer using scheduling software; a strong computer/technical knowledge base is required. The successful candidate requires a high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment while adapting to frequent interruptions and shifting priorities. This position works various shift times including weekends/evenings. This requisition will be used to fill multiple positions.
As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Some post-secondary education.
Completion of post-secondary education; equivalent education/training may be considered. Experience with MS Office and a strong computer/technical knowledge base is required. Minimum of 1-year administrative work experience in a large health organization. ePeople Payroll and Staff scheduling experience required. Ability to work both independently with minimal direction and within a team environment. Experience and a working knowledge of the various applicable collective agreements is required. Candidates must have Kronos TeleStaff/Workforce and e-People time keeping training and experience.
