Description
AHS is dedicated to Enhancing Care in the Community, helping people be healthy, well and independent in their homes and communities. Edmonton Zone Continuing Care (CCEZ) provides services through five main program areas: Home Living (HCC Type 1 & 2), Supportive Living (CCH Type B), Facility Living (CCH Type A), Palliative and End of Life Care, CHOICE & Adult Day Programs and Transition Services. The Administrative Support IV is a multi-skilled position that works with a diverse team of individuals in a fast-paced environment. This position provides support to the CCEZ Education & Practice Development Team. Various administrative activities are required such as calendar scheduling, standardizing and formatting documents and clinical resources, and scribing meeting agendas/minutes etc. This position will also work with and support other teams within Shared Services when needed (Quality & Safety, Business Intelligence, and Business Support). Excellent skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint including data entry, formatting, creating presentations and proof-reading documents (grammar, syntax, and spelling) are required. Experience working with SharePoint and Adobe are an asset. This position has several physical demands, which are detailed under Additional Required Qualifications. Duties: Processing and managing various types of requests that come into the inbox. Document editing, including proof reading for grammar, spelling and legibility, and ensuring AHS visual standards and branding are achieved. Calendar scheduling, shared drive maintenance, assisting in producing and developing procedures. Being a SharePoint Superuser. Running reports, compiling, tracking and formatting data. Managing education equipment. Finance and other related administrative activities as needed.
As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Some post-secondary education.
Minimum of 3 years’ administrative experience, preferably in a health-related environment. Proficiency with document writing and editing. Knowledge of AHS visual standards and branding. Experience in supporting and leading projects. Capable of supporting multiple team members and projects. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Good organizational, decision-making and time management skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively. Capacity to take initiative and oversee a variety of assignments with attention to detail. Demonstrated skills with various computer programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Visio, Outlook and Internet. A sufficient typing speed is also required to meet workload demand. At the time of interview, you may be required to demonstrate your computer knowledge and proficiency by completing a hands-on assessment. Physical demands of the job include sitting for extended periods, lifting office/medical supplies and equipment weighing up to 30 lbs., using repetitive motions, lifting, bending, reaching, and standing for prolonged periods.
Preference will be given to candidates that have related health care experience in resource development and management. Continuing Care Edmonton Zone program knowledge and work experience. Knowledge of AHS policies and procedures. Experience working in SharePoint.
