The Admin IV position is a key member of a diverse, dynamic, and fast paced pharmacy team. This position is responsible for the administrative support of a large department encompassing 60 front line staff, 2 managers for Medicine Hat Regional Hospital Pharmacy, and 4 rural facilities. The Admin IV is a creative, accountable, and resourceful person who enjoys solving challenging problems. Duties Include: Staff scheduling and payroll. Coordination and scheduling of committee meetings; this includes agenda and materials preparation, minute taking and distribution of all materials. Support for department management. Development and management of data management and collection tools (e.g. Excel templates). Prepares and submits documentation related to financial activities and actively participates in process improvement initiatives.

As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Some post-secondary education.

Post-secondary education required (e.g. certificate in office or business administration). Advanced knowledge of computer technology and applications required (including, but not limited to, MS Office suite). Excellent grammar and proof-reading skills. Excels at time management with proficient organizational skills. Able to work and problem solve under minimal supervision. Goal oriented, results driven with high attention to detail. Demonstrates excellence and effectiveness in communication and interpersonal skills.

Minimum 5 years administrative support experience is preferred. 2 years’ experience in a health care setting is preferred. Completion of a Medical Terminology course is an asset. Timekeeping and payroll experience are assets. Previous experience in process improvement processes and methodology is preferred.
