Description
Reporting to the Clinic Manager for the UAH Sleep Disorders Lab, the Admin Support III is responsible for providing complex administrative support to the Sleep Disorders program. As frontline staff for the Sleep Lab, the Admin Support III must demonstrate a high standard of interpersonal communication and the ability to coordinate resources to support patients, clinicians, and the multidisciplinary health care team. The Admin Support III is expected to demonstrate confidentiality, flexibility, initiative, and strong organizational skills while performing in a fast paced, high volume environment. The ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team is essential. Key Responsibilities: Registering patients and verifying demographic information. Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments. Answering telephone calls, transferring calls, and relaying messages professionally and accurately. Greeting and directing visitors, patients, and staff in a courteous and professional manner. Collecting and recording relevant patient information electronically during registration. Managing challenging client service issues and responding to concerns or complaints. Supporting the operational flow of the Sleep Lab through administrative coordination and effective communication. A medium level of physical activity is required to fulfill job requirements including but not limited to reaching above shoulders frequently, looking up frequently, prolonged periods of telephone and keyboard computer work is required. Must be able to lift and hold 20 lbs. sufficient mobility to: bend, stoop, and move around rapidly throughout the shift is required.
As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Completion of a Medical Office Assistant or Unit Clerk course. Minimum of one (1) year of recent administrative support experience in an ambulatory or outpatient clinic setting (within the last three years). At least two (2) years of overall administrative support experience. Experience with Connect Care. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Current BCLS-HCP certification with physical ability to perform CPR on adults.
