Description
Home Care in Vermilion is seeking a flexible, detail oriented Administrative Support III to join our team. This role supports the day to day operations of Home Care by ensuring smooth client flow, accurate scheduling, and timely administrative support for clinical staff. Admin Support positions play a key role in maintaining service continuity, supporting both planned and short notice coverage needs. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast paced environment, enjoy variety, and demonstrate strong customer service. Reporting to the Home Care Manager, the Administrative Support III provides clerical and front line support to clients, staff, and interdisciplinary team members. Responsibilities include: Greeting clients, families, and visitors and providing professional customer service. Managing phone calls, emails, and inquiries; directing information as appropriate. Supporting scheduling functions, including entering visit changes, cancellations, and staff availability in collaboration with the Home Care team. Assisting with client record maintenance (electronic and paper), including scanning, filing, and uploading documentation. Preparing forms, letters, reports, and other documents as required. Assisting with updating staff schedules, calendars, and meeting coordination. Monitoring supplies, ordering materials, and maintaining an organized office environment. Ensuring confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive health information.
As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of administrative or clerical experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry abilities.
Previous Connect Care experience an asset. Experience in a healthcare, Home Care, or continuing care environment. Knowledge of medical terminology. Strong customer service skills in interactions with clients, families, and interdisciplinary staff. Ability to adapt quickly to changing workloads and priorities, especially in a casual role.
