Description
The Royal Alexandra Hospital is seeking an organized and adaptable Administrative Support III to join our Rehabilitation Services Department, providing essential clerical support to frontline clinical team. Reporting to the Manager of Allied Health, this role plays a key part in ensuring smooth operations and high-quality patient care. You will work directly with both administrative and clinical providers. In this fast-paced environment, you’ll manage scheduling for multiple rehab teams, process time-off requests, and support onboarding tasks for new staff. You’ll also assist with payroll entry, maintain templates for timesheets, and complete various onboarding tasks for new hires within the department. You directly assist and support both clinical staff daily in their role and support the patients within the RAH Hand Therapy Clinic. Your day will include greeting patients, answering phones, register/check in patients in Connect Care Scheduler; fax WCB and other health care facilities; collect payments in Connect Care; scan documents into Connect Care; and maintain the Connect care work queue. Your ability to work independently, adapt to shifting priorities, and maintain confidentiality is key to success in this role. As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Recognized Unit Clerk, Medical Office Assistant certificate, or equivalent; Minimum 1-year acute care health facility medical office experience; Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and Oracle; Knowledge of e-People timekeeping; Proficient knowledge of Connect Care Scheduling; Knowledge of hospital scheduling practices and union collective agreements; Demonstrated strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Reliability and accountability; Able to embrace change; Motivated, self-directed, and able to prioritize competing tasks; Flexible and able to meet the needs of a large, multi-disciplinary team.
A comprehensive understanding of Rehabilitation and Therapeutic services in both acute and outpatient settings is an asset.
