The Administrative Support III provides a variety of administrative activities to support the Chronic Disease Management RNs. This may include booking referrals and scheduling appointments in Connect Care, calling clients, requisitioning, and maintaining supplies and equipment; operating and troubleshooting office equipment; ensuring the integrity of confidential information; and performing other related duties as required. This position provides support to Chronic Disease Management nurses. This position is part of Primary Care Alberta. As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative skills, and knowledge, to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program. Familiarity and knowledge of Connect Care is essential as all bookings are managed through this electronic medical record. Clear effective communication skills are imperative to engage clients in their care as well as excellent time management skills. Certificate or diploma in Office Administration or equivalent training requiring automated word processing, spreadsheets and databases; minimum one year related office experience; excellent typing/word processing skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; proficiency in Connect Care; a combination of experience and education may be considered.

Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; work with a variety of computer programs, in particular Microsoft Office; function effectively within a dynamic work environment; organize own work to meet pre-established deadlines, and to comply with staff schedules; work with a variety of staff, maintaining harmonious, professional relationships.
