Job Purpose
We manufacture paints and coatings! We transfer finished products into containers of different sizes and types. We identify and apply the correct information on the containers using the appropriate documents, while complying with safety procedures. We are looking for a Production Operator.

Main responsibilities
  • The operator needs to adhere to all established safety rules and procedures.
  • Following work order instructions, package approved quality products in appropriate containers using filters, hoses and pipes as required.
  • Throughout the filling process, the operator ensures that the quality control requirements and sampling specified on the work order are adhered to. Ensure adequate output by weighing and/or measuring the volume of material in the containers using the tools provided.
  • Once containers are filled, the operator ensures that everything is properly sealed and labeled according to batch slip instructions before sending to our shipping department.
  • The operator takes responsibility for the maintenance of the area, e.g. proper disposal of filters, wash pump, tank wash, filter housings and hoses with appropriate cleaning equipment.
  • Properly label and store all cleaning materials in the appropriate areas.

Requested skills

  • Health and Safety: Ability to read, understand and follow safety instructions and guidelines.
  • Physical requirements: Ability to stand or walk for long periods and to lift and handle containers such as 5-gallon pails weighing up to 75 pounds, 60-pound bags of pigments or drums weighing up to 900 pounds.
  • Ability to climb stairs wearing steel-toed shoes.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments and inclement weather in a heavy manufacturing environment with exposure to chemical agents while wearing all personal protective equipment.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of coatings, the chemical industry and paints is an asset.
