Description
Agence de Placement Trésor Inc. is recruiting on behalf of one of its manufacturing clients on Montreal’s South Shore for a Shipping Team Lead / Forklift Operator position.
Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, QC
Permanent – Full-Time
Base Salary: $24.31/hour
Team Lead Premium: $1.00/hour
Evening Premium: $1.50/hour
Night Premium: $2.00/hour
As a Team Lead, you will serve as the main point of contact on the warehouse floor while actively participating in shipping and material handling operations.
This role is ideal for an experienced forklift operator looking to take the next step into a leadership position.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily shipping activities
- Assign tasks and priorities to forklift operators and warehouse staff
- Participate in loading, unloading and material handling operations
- Operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks
- Ensure shipping deadlines and operational objectives are met
- Support and train team members
- Promote a safe and productive work environment
- Assist in resolving operational issues
- Collaborate with supervisors and other departments
- Previous experience as a forklift operator
- Experience operating:
- Electric pallet jacks
- Narrow aisle stand-up forklifts (reach trucks)
- Team lead, lead hand or supervisory experience is an asset
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Reliable and professional
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Valid forklift certification is an asset
