We are currently seeking a Coordinator of Chishaayiyuu and Current Services for the Community Miyupimaatisiiun Centre (CMC). Reporting to the director, the successful candidate will participate in the planning, organization, and coordination of social and health services provided to the adult population (30 years and older) and their caregivers. This role includes supporting preventive and curative health services, mental health, infectious diseases, as well as laboratory, radiology, pre-dialysis, hemodialysis, archives, Wiichihiituwin, dental, and pharmaceutical services.

REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and member of the OIIQ;

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in planning, management, or supervision within a primary care services setting;

  • Relevant specialization is an asset.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good knowledge of the MSSS network, nursing care in CSSS and ambulatory units;

  • Experience in program planning, supervision, policy development, and quality assurance;

  • Knowledge of prehospital services, diabetes care, laboratory, radiology, health promotion and disease prevention is an asset;

  • Understanding of health and social service issues for First Nations;

  • Respect for Eenou/Eeyou cultures, linguistic knowledge an asset;

  • Experience in northern regions is a plus;

  • Strong communication, leadership, collaboration, organizational, and multitasking skills;

  • Proficient with office software (Microsoft Office suite).

Languages:

  • Fluency in English;

  • Fluency in Cree or French is an asset.

  • Availability for on-call shifts;

  • Willingness to travel;
