Following strong growth, our client, a real estate developer and large-scale general contractor recognized for its multi-residential construction projects, is looking for a SENIOR ESTIMATOR capable of working primarily on multi-residential construction projects in the Greater Montreal area;

· Permanent position offering a salary between $90,000 & $120,000 + minimum of 4 weeks of vacation + VERY aggressive bonus

· Established for over 20 years with more than $150 million in multi-residential projects built in Montreal
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Identify business opportunities in the general construction industry, primarily multi-residential, in public (SEAO, BSDQ) and private markets to increase the client’s market share and reach the annual revenue target as per the employment contract;
Ø Responsible for evaluating and developing construction project costs;
Ø Responsible for preparing, submitting, and following up on bids;
Ø Analyze bidding results and propose adjustments to improve the company’s competitiveness;
Ø Review plans, specifications, and bids to estimate the costs of materials, labor, and equipment;
Ø Perform quantity take-offs to prepare bids;
Ø Prepare specifications/bid sheets following the study of plans and specifications to send bid requests to various stakeholders;
Ø Compare and negotiate bids received from subcontractors;
Ø Search for subcontractors to expand the database;
Ø Keep supplier, subcontractor, and other industry professional directories up to date;
Ø Establish and maintain necessary communications with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and professionals;
Ø Implement and maintain bidding, control, and reporting systems and procedures;
Ø Negotiate the purchase of construction materials for the group in coordination with the project manager(s) and superintendent(s);
Ø Negotiate changes and additions to subcontractor and supplier contractual agreements in coordination with the project manager(s) and superintendent(s);
Once the contract is signed and the project is awarded, in collaboration with the project manager:
Ø Participate in developing the strategy for project execution within the approved schedule;
Ø Participate in coordinating and managing safety prevention on construction sites;
