Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Plasma Operator to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC plasma cutting machines to cut various metal materials with precision and efficiency. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, knowledge of machine maintenance, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

What you'll do here

• Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting machines to cut steel, aluminum, and other metals as required.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files to ensure accurate cuts.
• Adjust machine settings to optimize cutting quality and efficiency.
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues with equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met.

What you bring to the team:

• Minimum 23 years of experience operating CNC plasma cutting machines.
• Strong understanding of CNC programming, G-code, and machine controls.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with plasma cutting software (e.g., Pronest, AutoCAD, SheetCAM, or similar).
• Experience with material handling and metal fabrication processes.
• Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Preferred:

• Certification in CNC operation or welding/fabrication.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or metal fabrication shop environment.
