Il sagit dun poste bas sur chantier, offrant une exposition directe la gestion quotidienne de la construction, lallocation des ressources, la planification et au contrle des cots.

Ce que vous ferez ici :

  • Raliser des audits et des analyses sur le chantier et produire des rapports quotidiens, hebdomadaires et mensuels destins lquipe de projet et aux parties prenantes cls.
  • Assister les ingnieurs terrain et les surintendants dans leurs tches quotidiennes.
  • Effectuer le suivi des quantits et lanalyse de la productivit afin doptimiser lefficacit des oprations.
  • Raliser des relevs de quantits partir des plans de construction, au besoin.
  • Faire preuve dun grand souci du dtail et tre en mesure de vrifier la qualit des travaux raliss.
  • Collaborer avec lquipe de projet et informer les intervenants concerns de lavancement de lchancier.
  • Suivre lavancement des travaux et contribuer la prparation des rapports de cots pour la direction sur les projets en cours.
  • Fournir des donnes et un soutien lors des conciliations de fin de mois.
  • Assurer la tenue des dossiers et de la correspondance pour les projets en cours et complts.
  • Offrir un soutien technique aux quipes terrain, aux ouvriers spcialiss et aux sous-traitants.
  • Participer la prparation, la rvision, au suivi et lapprobation des dessins dingnierie et des documents connexes.
  • Collecter les informations du chantier et contribuer la prparation des bordereaux de matriaux.
  • Aider la prparation destimations dtailles de construction et de conception.
  • Assurer la liaison avec les clients, les entrepreneurs et les dpartements internes.
  • Effectuer toute autre tche administrative connexe, au besoin.
  • Faire preuve dautonomie et tre capable de travailler avec un minimum de supervision directe.

Ce que vous apportez lquipe :

  • tre actuellement inscrit(e) dans un programme universitaire ou collgial technique en gnie civil ou en gestion de la construction.
  • Une exprience dans lindustrie de la construction constitue un atout important.
  • Connaissances de base des quipements de construction, des techniques, des plans, des matriaux et des normes applicables au projet.
  • Dtenir un permis de conduire valide avec un bon dossier de conduite.
  • Bonne matrise de la suite Microsoft Office (Excel et Word).
  • Connaissances de base dAutoCAD et/ou Bluebeam (atout).
  • Excellentes habilets interpersonnelles et de communication, loral comme lcrit.
  • Fort sens de lorganisation et de la gestion du temps.
  • Excellente thique de travail, motivation leve et volont de sinvestir pleinement pour bien faire le travail.
  • Capacit accder librement toutes les zones dun chantier, dans divers environnements et conditions climatiques.
  • Flexibilit pour travailler selon des horaires variables (jour et nuit) afin de respecter les chanciers.
  • Disponibilit se dplacer ou dmnager pour occuper le poste.

What Is The Opportunity

Aecon has openings within the Foundations division for Engineering Co-op students. These positions will provide the opportunity to take an active involvement in exciting heavy civil projects and provide opportunities for learning and development. This is a site-based position and will include exposure to the day to day management of project construction, resource allocation, scheduling and cost control. In this assignment, the student intern will have the following duties:


What You'll Do Here:

  • Conduct site audits and analysis, provide daily/weekly/monthly reports to the project staff and key stakeholders.
  • Assist Field Engineers and Superintendents with day-to-day tasks
  • Perform quantity tracking and productivity analysis for maximization of operation efficiency.
  • Perform quantity take-off from construction drawings as required.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to review the quality of completed work.
  • Liaise with and inform the project staff or any other Aecon delegate on the project schedule.
  • Monitor progress and assist in the provision of job cost reports to management on active projects.
  • Provide data and input for month-end reconciliation.
  • Maintain files and correspondence on active and completed projects.
  • Provide technical support to field staff, craft and subcontractors.
  • Assist in the preparation, review, maintenance and approval of Engineering drawings and related documents.
  • Gather field information and assist in the preparation of project bill of materials.
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed construction and design estimates.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors and internal departments.
  • Other administrative duties as required.
  • Must be self-motivated and work well with minimum or no direct supervision.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Currently enrolled in a university or technical college diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Experience in the construction industry is a strong asset
  • Beginner knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings, building materials and required standards applicable to the project.
  • A valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Beginner knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A strong work ethic highly motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done right.
  • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
  • Adaptable to flexible work schedules (day and night shifts) when required to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Must be willing to relocate or travel for the position

Hourly Wage - $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
