As the ADP System Integration Leader, Professional Services, for our HR Tech SaaS platform, you’ll lead the strategy, design, and execution of integrations that connect our product ecosystem with key HRIS, benefits, and identity management systems.
You’ll manage a talented team of leaders, developers and architects responsible for building secure, scalable, and reliable integrations that power seamless employee experiences and data flows for our customers of all sizes.
This role is both strategic and hands-on, ideal for a leader who thrives at the intersection of technology, product innovation, and customer success in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
The System Integration Leader has the overall responsibility for ensuring that the client is provided with outstanding client experience and that ADP's key business objectives are realized.
What you’ll do:
Integration Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute the HR Tech integration strategy aligned with product and business goals.
- Partner with Global Product and Customer Success to manage and refine an API-first integration ecosystem that connects our platform to external HR systems.
- Establish technical roadmaps for system interoperability, data synchronization, and automation across employee lifecycle tools.
- Advocate for scalable, standardized integration patterns and frameworks across the organization.
- Project staffing needs and budget requirements including strategies to react to variances in Sales volumes positive or negative).
- Analyze trends in quality survey scores, client sign off forms, rerun rates/reasons, additional business, lost accounts, and workflows to determine what actions should be taken.
- Participate in budget development and manage costs to those budgets.
Team Management & Delivery
- Lead and mentor a team of leaders, system integration engineers and solution architects.
- Manage the full life cycle of integrations, from discovery and design to implementation, testing, and maintenance.
- Balance delivery priorities between product-led integrations, customer-specific implementations, and partner ecosystem initiatives.
- Collaborate with customer success, support and implementation teams to ensure smooth onboarding for enterprise clients.
Technical Execution
- Oversee integration architecture leveraging APIs, webhooks, and event-driven designs.
- Build and optimize integrations with leading HR systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, BambooHR, Greenhouse, Lever, Okta, and others.
- Utilize iPaaS and automation tools e.g., Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi, Tray.io) to accelerate integration delivery.
- Ensure integrations adhere to SLAs, deliver accurate data synchronization, and maintain system uptime and performance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, mapping specifications, and data models.
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Implement governance around API design, versioning, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure integrations comply with HR data privacy and security standards.
- Partner with Security and Compliance teams to ensure safe data exchange and identity verification protocols.
- Proactively monitor integration performance and lead root-cause analyses for any incidents.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements
- 8-12 years of experience in system integration or platform engineering, preferably within SaaS or HR Tech.
- 5+ years in technical leadership or people management roles.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Proven expertise in RESTful APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience integrating with HR and ERP systems HRIS, payroll, ATS, benefits, SSO/IDaaS).
- Proficiency with modern iPaaS platforms MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, or similar).
- Familiarity with cloud services AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices architectures.
- Understanding of HR data models, employee lifecycle workflows, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks.

Bonus points for these:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Certified Integration Architect MuleSoft, Boomi, or equivalent).
- Cloud certifications AWS/Azure/GCP).
- PMP or Agile/Scrum certification.
- Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, including screens, demographic scenarios and imports
- HRIS or HR Tech ecosystem familiarity e.g., Workday Pro certification or equivalent experience).
