The Finance Business Partner is responsible for the financial oversight of the Shared Services organization.

This role has direct responsibility for leading, developing and executing the budget, forecasting, reporting and analysis related to the Shared Services organization.

In addition to financial support, the Finance Business Partner will be involved in leading and/or supporting the operation in financial and business performance improvement initiatives including but not limited to HR practice, compliance, tools and technology, resource management, productivity, client retention, business and product enablement.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Planning, Forecasting and Business Analysis

  • Responsible for short and long-term financial planning cycles.
  • Lead and develop the annual operating plan, strategic plan, monthly forecast and R&O’s.
  • Be able to re-engineer and deploy the process of translation of strategic targets into comprehensive well-vetted annual operating budgets.
  • Perform analysis of actual results to forecast and advise Shared Service management of proactive actions to ensure that the business achieves its fiscal year targets and is positioned to achieve its long-term strategic goals.

Strategic & Financial Support

  • Provides finance support and leadership to the Shared Service organization, including all aspects of financial analysis, productivity analysis and capital efficiency while ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Help drive business unit readiness for execution on business expansion/retraction, acquisition business cases, new product roll outs, new systems, tools and process changes.
  • Build business cases and assist in the management and understanding the business dynamics which include relationships, models, trends, leading indicators and business statistics. Partners with the other BUs to drive client service efficiencies and improve client retention.

Business Advisory Support

  • Provides advice and counsel to the Shared Services leadership team on interpretation of operating results and trends.
  • Maintains awareness of general economic, business and financial conditions and their potential impact on policies and operations; communicates and recommends measures to capitalize on or protect the business from these changing conditions.

Performance Management

  • Develops key performance indicators and other quantifiable measurement tools to track results of business activities and regularly reports to top management.
  • Assists management in understanding the business dynamics which includes relationships, model, trends, leading indicators and business statistics.
  • Build a set of analytical resources and meaningful actionable reports to enhance decision-making support.
  • Drive Simplification and process improvements to the financial reporting and financial management process.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements

  • Minimum of 7+ years finance experience, proven track record of success managing multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Critical Thinker with influence and credibility. Broad business knowledge and financial acumen coupled with strong interpersonal, analytical, communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate operational issues impacting performance of the business.
  • Experience in a Sales operating environment with proven ability to interact and work effectively with cross functional team.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to coach, develop and mentor team.
  • Self-motivated, solid fiduciary and change agent.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
