Your Role:
As the Chief Technology Architect - Banking, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of end-to-end technology solutions for major banking and financial services clients. You will define enterprise architecture strategies, guide complex digital transformations, and ensure alignment with business objectives, security requirements, and future growth plans. Your expertise will bridge the gap between business and technology, enabling banks to thrive in an evolving digital landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Technology Leadership
- Define and own the technology vision and architecture strategy for top-tier banking clients.
- Provide leadership in digital transformation initiatives, including cloud adoption, core banking modernization, and platform engineering.
- Advise CXOs on emerging technologies, architecture trends, and enterprise architecture governance.
Solution Architecture & Delivery Oversight
- Architect complex, scalable, and secure technology solutions, ensuring integration across digital channels, core systems, and data layers.
- Lead architecture reviews, design validation, and technical risk assessments.
- Oversee end-to-end solution design across cloud-native, API-driven, and microservices-based architectures.
Client Engagement & Consulting
- Act as a trusted advisor to banking clients, translating business needs into technology roadmaps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business consultants, developers, and operations.
- Support pre-sales, RFP responses, and business development with technology strategy inputs and architecture leadership.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of solution and domain architects.
- Establish architecture best practices and promote knowledge sharing across the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in IT/technology with a focus on enterprise architecture and system integration.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role supporting banking or financial services clients.
- Experience in core banking platforms (e.g., Temenos, Finacle, FIS, Mambu) and digital banking architectures.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and API management.
- Familiarity with regulatory and security standards in banking (e.g., PSD2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (MBA is a plus)
Preferred Qualifications:
- TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture certification.
- Experience in agile environments, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines..
