As a Residential Site Superintendent, your mission will be to oversee on-site operations, coordinate teams, and lead your projects to completion while fostering exceptional human relationships. With rigor and leadership, you will uphold the highest quality standards, ensure compliance with schedules and health & safety regulations, and maintain clear and effective communication at all times. You will be working on multi-unit residential rental projects of 50 units or more, primarily located on the Island of Montreal.
Key Responsibilities :Oversee daily site management: Coordinate and direct on-site activities to ensure work progresses according to schedules, specifications, and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with safety standards: Make sure all workers adhere to occupational health and safety regulations on site.
Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers: Schedule the work of various trades and manage material logistics to keep projects running smoothly.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders: Act as the main point of contact between site teams, project managers, clients, and other parties to ensure transparency and alignment throughout the project.
Manage unforeseen issues and resolve problems: Respond quickly to challenges on site, implementing solutions to prevent delays and maintain project momentum.
Monitor schedule adherence: Track progress to ensure the project remains on time and within scope.
Report on project progress: Prepare daily reports including photos, notes on progress, required adjustments, incident reports, and outcomes.
5 years of experience as a Superintendent on residential renovation projects;
Hands-on experience as a construction worker (an asset);
Strong knowledge of building and construction codes;
Understanding of health and safety standards;
Proficiency with Procore;
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering or equivalent training (an asset).
