The Role

In this role, you will be accountable for the management of the company’s total rewards and well-being strategy including executive compensation, pension, group benefits, well-being and disability management programs. Join us to:

  • Work with internal stakeholders to implement the total rewards and well-being strategy and plan
  • Attract and retain talent through competitive wage and salary structures, variable compensation programs including short term incentive plans and operational bonus programs, and group pension, benefits and well-being programs and initiatives
  • Manage executive compensation programs including long term incentive plans and share ownership plans
  • Manage the group insurance and pension portfolio including vendor management and fulfilling legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and design communication tools as required to assist all stakeholders in understanding the various compensation programs
  • Management of total reward and well-being policies, programs and guidelines
  • Make data-driven recommendations to improve employee well-being through analysis and reporting on plan and program results
  • Oversee disability claims and advise on preventative and remedial programs

The Candidate

  • Education: University Degree + CHRP Designation or CEBS Designation, or equivalent experience
  • Work Experience: Experience in total compensation in a multi-site organization in a position involving a wide variety of programs, projects and tasks, including team leadership experience
  • Knowledge: Advanced practical and theoretical knowledge in pension, benefits, and executive compensation plans; in-depth knowledge of pension and benefits compliance legislation, laws and regulatory requirements in Canada; business acumen and understanding of change management principles.
  • Bilingual (English/French) an asset
