Description
At The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, our mission is to create a world free from the fear of cancer. Cancer remains the number one cause of death for Canadians and our top priority is to accelerate cancer research and care.
Our role is to garner support for Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, one of the world’s leading cancer research and treatment centres, through philanthropy, fundraising events, and our world-renowned lottery program. The work we accomplish drives groundbreaking research, relentless innovation, and a deep commitment to improving the lives of cancer patients and their loved ones.
Now, we have an opportunity to blaze an even brighter future for everyone affected by cancer.
We will Carry The Fire for cancer patients everywhere, lighting the way forward through discovery, reigniting our commitment to transform cancer outcomes and ease the profound suffering cancer causes patients and their loved ones.
At the PMCF, every one of us carries the fire for someone else. Join us as we inspire a movement and help us achieve our vision to change the way we understand, diagnose, and treat cancer.
Established in 1982, PMCF has been setting daring and audacious goals with a mindset that is driven by our culture and passion for the cause. We have pioneered many successful fundraising programs, including our world-leading Princess Margaret Home Lottery, and some of the world’s largest peer-to-peer cancer fundraising events, and have sophisticated Major & Transformational Gift and Estates & Gift Planning programs.
As the PMCF plans a historic, comprehensive fundraising campaign for The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, our high-performing Major & Transformational Giving team is recruiting for a Development Associate. The Development Associate will work in close partnership with one or more senior, experienced major gift fundraisers, and will provide comprehensive support for their fundraising activities focused at the $100,000 to $1 million+ level.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a nimble ability to collaborate, and will demonstrate strong attention to detail, effective communication, and outstanding relationship-building skills. In this role, the incumbent will have the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of constituents, including medical leaders, clinician partners, donors and volunteers. If you are seeking to focus your career in major gift fundraising, the Development Associate role provides an excellent career development opportunity.
