Manulife is seeking an Inside Insurance Wholesaler to join a team celebrated for its innovation, excellence, and industry-leading service. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the wholesaling industry.
Manulife’s Retail Markets business unit stands as a premier provider of insurance and investment solutions, addressing the diverse financial needs of Canadian families. The Manulife Insurance Sales team, in partnership with financial advisors nationwide, delivers a comprehensive suite of innovative insurance solutions. These include individual life insurance, health and dental plans, travel insurance, and one of the industry's most extensive living benefit portfolios, featuring critical illness, long-term care, and disability products.
As an Internal Insurance Wholesaler, the candidate will partner with peers and External Wholesalers to manage a geographical sales region. The key responsibilities include strengthening existing advisor relationships and fostering new ones, with the ultimate aim of promoting client-centric solutions to boost individual life and living benefit insurance sales at Manulife. The ideal candidate is dynamic, sales-focused, possesses excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and is driven to succeed. Resourcefulness, coachability, and collaboration are essential traits.
Position Responsibilities:
Utilize exceptional communication skills to engage proactively with advisors daily, supporting key advisors and identifying sales opportunities.
Organize and execute daily tasks efficiently to meet productivity metrics and support advisors and the region.
Address incoming advisor inquiries, including case consultations, illustration support, product queries, and training.
Leverage peers, external wholesalers, tools, resources, data, and analytics to explore proactive sales opportunities, formalized and executed through effective business planning in 60-day cycles.
Use Salesforce.com to create and maintain advisor profiles and track current and proposed activities.
Collaborate with peers across teams, departments, and territories to exchange business leads and ideas.
Internal Wholesalers benefit from participation in Manulife's exclusive continuous training program, designed to equip them with the critical skills and knowledge necessary for promotion to an External Wholesaler position.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance or sales
Experience in the insurance or financial industry preferred
College or university degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate experience with Excel
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual skills preferred but not required (French/English or Mandarin/English)
LLQP designation preferred or willingness to obtain it within the first year of employment
Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail
Well-organized, self-starting individual with high energy and creativity
Innovative marketing and problem-solving abilities
Excels in a collaborative and complex environment with a strong desire to win
Excellent oral and written communication skills
