POSITION PURPOSE:
The Home Services copywriter is responsible for managing the copy production for Home Services webpages, along with other Home Services web assets such as banners, lead forms, etc. all of which contribute to increased sales and strengthen the Homedepot.ca brand experience. Portfolio required. Ability to work unsupervised, and to distill message from multiple sources is a given.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to translate complex information into easy-to-understand copy to convert web traffic into lead submissions
Ability to write copy for AIO/SEO optimization as well as potential customers
Knowledge of industry best practices
Ability to meet tight deadlines and deliverables
Attention to detail is a must.
Good teamwork and communication skills
Must also have ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced dynamic environment.
Works with senior analyst and web designer on the team to develop and execute new webpage launches or updates to existing webpages
Packages and delivers assets in required format
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
Internal candidates must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (V2 - Valued Associate, Well Positioned)
Degree from in Marketing or English or 3 years related experience understanding of/and experience in writing for the web
Some technical knowledge of AIO/SEO
Education Required - The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 1-3 years
This role requires being in the office 4 days a week at the Canada Store Support Center (SSC).
