Our client is looking for Sr. Infrastructure Engineer/ Systems Administrator (Azure) to support integration work for a client in the oil and gas industry.

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer / Systems Administrator to support and enhance our server and cloud infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure. This role will play a key part in the integration, support, and stabilization of technology platforms being introduced through acquisition.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, comfortable operating across on-prem and cloud environments, and experienced in supporting enterprise infrastructure during periods of change and integration.

Must Have's:

• 5+ years as a Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer
• Advanced hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS/PaaS, Azure AD, networking, storage, security)
• Experience administering Nutanix environments
• Strong Windows Server administration experience
• Experience supporting hybrid (on-prem + cloud) infrastructure
• Familiarity with virtualization, networking concepts, and storage technologies
• Ability to support infrastructure during M&A or system integration activities

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day server and systems administration support across on-prem and cloud environments
• Lead and support Azure infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, identity, and security
• Support and administer Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure
• Assist with the technical integration of systems and infrastructure associated with the Plains NGL acquisition
• Collaborate with application, security, and network teams to ensure stable and secure infrastructure operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues across Windows, virtualization, and cloud platforms
• Participate in system migrations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives
• Document infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures
• Support operational best practices including monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and patching
• Provide on-call or after-hours support as needed
