Description
Our valued client is looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow-based solutions that support enterprise-wide technology management and modernization initiatives.
This role requires close collaboration with internal customers to translate business needs into scalable, maintainable ServiceNow solutions - avoiding over-customization while ensuring functionality and user adoption.
This position is hybrid - 3 times a week onsite in Montreal.
Tasks include:
- Development & Platform Implementation
- Design, configure, and develop solutions within the ServiceNow platform to meet business needs.
- Implement and maintain a centralized catalogue of technical products and lifecycles on ServiceNow.
- Ensure high performance and scalability of customizations, using platform best practices.
- Collaboration & Requirements Gathering
- Work directly with internal stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document technical requirements.
- Challenge and critique designs to ensure maintainable, non-overengineered solutions.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams across time zones and geographies.
- Standards & Process Improvement
- Advocate for software development best practices within the team.
- Help implement development standards, participate in code reviews, and suggest improvements to development and delivery processes.
- Support agile methodologies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of experience as a software developer.
- 3+ years of hands-on development with ServiceNow, including experience with scripting and configuration.
- Strong understanding of software development fundamentals, data structures, SDLC models, and database development concepts.
- Ability to work independently with customers to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Experience working in agile development environments.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience modeling data in ServiceNow with knowledge of CSDM (Common Service Data Model).
- Background working at or with a ServiceNow partner consultancy on multi-client implementations.
- Experience developing custom UIs on the ServiceNow platform.
- Familiarity with IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes in ServiceNow.
- Experience integrating or working with Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience implementing ServiceNow in complex, enterprise network environments.
- Proficiency with Python or other scripting languages.
- ITIL certification.
